For the first time in Spain, a designer was showing dog fashion on a catwalk. On the vernissage of Yvonne Börjesson’s personal design exhibition in Palma de Mallorca, Yvonne held a successful fashion show with her Designer clothing. 30 models and 30 dogs all dressed with Yvonne Börjesson design was walking down the red carpet with tunes of live saxofon in the beautiful site of Pueblo Español in Palma de Mallorca.
The event got full coverage in all Spanish daily magazines.
In 2004 Yvonne got the humoristic idea to dress the dogs of her clients with matching items, adapted for dogs. Chien Chic was born in a spectacular fashion show held in a trendy Parisian street in the Marais, where Yvonne gathered both female and male models & dancers, all dressed in Yvonne Börjesson designer clothing. The many spectators could see the models walking down the street with coordinated dressed dogs to the sound of 15 Acapella singers. The show was one of the first ever done in France. The Chien Chic show resulted in an exclusive dog collection made for the luxury Hotel Palace Le George V Paris.
For the Swedish exhibition in Tokyo, Yvonne Börjesson spent several months on preparing this very spectacular and artistic fashion show, taking place in the famous Spiral Hall, Aoyama. Yvonne worked closely with the well known Swedish jazz musician Peter Nordahl who composed exclusive music for her show including Swedish folklore musiciens together with his Jazz Trio on the scene. Winter 2001 and spring -summer 2002 collection came into spotlight worn by Japanese models and included modern dance performances from Swedish Kenneth Kvarnström group » as well as Japanese girls hand picked » from Tokyo street all wearing Yvonne Börjesson traditional Scandinavian Knitwear.
Among the audience: the Swedish Crown Princess Heritiere Victoria Bernadotte. The show was one of the most successful events during the Swedish Style in Tokyo 2001.
Yvonne Börjesson was invited as a guest of honors together with Electrolux, Bang Olufsen & Nokia by the French company Renault at the Stockholm Motor Show, Sweden.
