Yvonne Börjesson revised completely this French company’s collection 2004 after convinced them to make fundamental changes to their furniture and objects made of driftwood. During 2005-2007, this brand was transformed from being a small company doing very rustic furniture with an artisanal outlook to become very modern and a trend leader in their field. The success was immediate both in media and in sales. Bleu Nature and their “Scandinavian looking” tabourets and seats were in every trend magazine.
Yvonne also developed a complete textile collection with cushions and plaids to complete the furniture collection.
The company still have success with her design ideas.
Original state to transformation
Sketch-original outlook of Bleu Nature furniture 2004 with Yvonne Börjesson’s first idea of material use and trend input for a major change of design. Transformation and realisation of Yvonne’s design ideas, seen below at the Maison & Objet fair in Paris.
"I saw their idea to make furniture of driftwood and upholstery. I imagined my use of materials like white hairy fur, white shiny leathers and glossy metallics in different structures and I saw in front of me great designer items. The combination of the elegant and the raw wood would create something very nature and elegant at the same time"
